Meet the team of amazing professionals at Cupping Canada!

Our Instruction Team

Paul Kohlmeier, BPE, RMT, R.Ac.

Paul is our course Creator and Lead Instructor. He has put so much time into making our courses the most informative evidence informed courses you will find. We all know there isn't much evidence on Cupping that's why we stick to the facts!

Registered Massage Therapist and Registered Acupuncturist, Paul Kohlmeier is an experienced and skilled therapist who is also trained as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Herbalist. Graduating with a Physical Education degree from the University of Manitoba, Paul went on to obtain his Diploma in Massage Therapy from Wellington College and Diplomas in both Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Hua Xia Acupuncture and Herb College of Canada. Paul has a wealth of information looking for ways to get out of his head…which has led him to teaching and lecturing over the last 15 years.

Paul runs a community acupuncture practice, in addition to his Massage Therapy practice from his clinic based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In addition to his keen interest in Massage Therapy and Chinese Medicine, Paul is a self-proclaimed research geek having participated in the World Fascia Congress, IN-CAM and the Massage Therapy Foundation Research Conference and loves bringing everything he learns into the treatment room as well as the classroom.

Being certified in both Massage Therapy and Chinese Medicine, Paul has a unique ability to speak to the two different bodies of knowledge. He takes a decidedly different approach, working towards an explanatory narrative that represents current thinking and science, as well as adding a feedback-based model of explanation that includes a patient-directed approach.

 Ownership Team

Michelle Roos, LMT

Michelle has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2002 and has worked within the Massage Therapy profession for over 15 years with several well known companies attending trade shows and sharing her knowledge for products she loves. After taking many Cupping courses, Michelle & Christy started Cupping Canada and Cupping USA to provide the most affordable and high quality products possible to professionals utilizing Cupping Therapy in their practice.  This then led to providing education for professionals that is informed by evidence in order to address some of the 'myths' and language that is regularly being used by many instructors and causing confusion within the market.

Michelle has an extremely busy out call service in South Florida and you can frequently find her working backstage at concerts, with professional athletes or in a VIP area somewhere. Michelle also specializes in Pediatric Massage and is a Facial Specialist.

When she isn't working she can be found in a hot yoga class, relaxing on the beach, baking or traveling around the world!

Christy Pritchard, CAE

Christy is the 'non-therapist' of the team, however after working within the profession in an administrative capacity for 18 years...we don't hold that against her!  In addition to previously holding a senior position with a provincial association representing Massage Therapists, Christy has also been previously actively at the education level for one of Canada's largest Massage Therapy schools in addition to working at the national level working with the Canadian Massage Therapy Alliance.  While owning a successful supply company, Christy came to the conclusion that there has to be a better way to get affordable and high quality products into the hands of practitioners.  The creation of Cupping Canada and Cupping USA is the realization of that conclusion.

Christy is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and the majority of her career has been working with non-profit organizations.  This background translates into ensuring that all our customers are receiving value for their hard-earned dollars paid and provision of outstanding customer service.  Christy and Michelle have created a niche for those practitioners who utilize Cupping Therapy for the overall health and well-being of their clients.

When she isn't working (which isn't often!) Christy can be found relaxing in Mexico or travelling the world.
